Ho Sung Choi became an internet sensation after footage of his golf swing went viral. His follow through is like no other yet his path to becoming a golf professional is even more amazing.

Ho Sung Choi only took up golf at the age of 27. Prior to that he was a fisherman and during that time he had half his thumb cut off which caused him to take two years off. This led him to get a part time job at a golf club where he did odd jobs.

In 1997 the golf course opened a new practice area where the staff where encouraged to practice and Ho Sung decided to give it a go. 11 years later he picked up his maiden professional win at the Korean Tour Championship. That was the first of two Korean Tour wins after another victory in 2011.

He then won the Indonesian PGA Championship in 2013 before the biggest win of his career last year at the Casio World Open in Japan. He is currently ranked 194th in the world and makes his PGA Tour debut this weekend at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
